Job Description
Crittenton Children's Center is seeking a full time Manager for Foster Care Case Management.
Full-time weekdays-40 hours per week and expected to handle any crisis or after hours calls or disruptions.
Selects, trains, orients, motivates and oversees the work of staff by using effective strategies and resources to recognize and retain staff
Oversight and management of 6 Foster Care Case Managers and their assigned caseloads. Supervision of approximately 90 youth in foster care
Identifies skills and aptitude of staff and assist in their career development
Utilizes the performance management process (PMP) to coach, counsel and evaluate employee performance in a respectful and timely manner
Provides challenging assignments and commits the time and attention required to facilitate the learning, growth, and development of staff
Assures maintenance of electronic case files by unit staff
Advocates on behalf of children and families to ensure access to needed services and support in the community
Attends and participates in monthly department team and management meetings
Provides backup case management services when unit staff are unavailable including afterhours emergencies that may arise
Seeks community resources to meet the needs of children and families
Monitors all case management activities to assure compliance with Children's Divisions policy and procedures
Provides feedback and education regarding written reports of assigned staff for the purpose of court hearings
Facilitates professional family meetings in coordination with assigned case staff
Mediates any initial family complaints or grievances to encourage positive resolution
Ensures timely and accurate documentation of case related activities through the State FACES database system
Maintains expert knowledge of the laws, rules and policy requirements of the State of Missouri that regulate the practice of Missouri's child welfare system.
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of child welfare experience required
Master's Degree preferred
Must possess demonstrated skills in assessing family dynamics, situationally counseling/crisis intervention, case management, and have previous supervisory experience.
Must have a clean driving record and applicable vehicle insurance.
