Managed Care Manager Full Time Days
Summary
Responsible for managing provider relations within market with regard to physicians, hospitals, members, news media and general public. Acts as liaison to ensure all groups are effectively informed and updated by the health plan, as necessary. Plans, directs, and implements programs to increase use of facility services through selectively targeted relationships with managed care plans. Responsible for development and refinement of managed care strategy designed to identify economically beneficial HMO/PPO/EPO relationships for the organization. Routinely evaluates existing managed care programs, monitors contracting entities' performance, and negotiates new or renewal provider contracts.
