The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) has a Master's degree with Clinical Nurse Leader certification and is an active member of the multidisciplinary team, collaborating in the development, execution, and evaluation of the plan of care. The Clinical Nurse Leader works on a medical-surgical unit and is responsible for demonstrating leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
