Senior Social Worker (Mental Health - Emergency Department)
The Senior Social Worker (Mental Health -Emergency Department) will provide mental health services to the Veteran population enrolled at the Lexington VA Health Care System. This position will be assigned to the Mental Health Service Line and will be located primarily in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include the assessment of psychosocial problems, often at a time when the Veteran is experiencing an acute crisis. These acute crises will include stressors related to both physical health and mental health needs, as well as a variety of psychosocial stressors.
