Pay Range$52,561 - $68,598 annuallyAbout the PositionThe people we serve are older adults who struggle with severe and persistent mental illness. Typically our clients have chronic health conditions, live in near poverty, and are often isolated from their community and family. Thus, we have a great opportunity to make a significant difference in their lives by providing case management and therapy in a recovery environment. This is an opportunity for new clinicians and seasoned clinicians alike to learn more, grow, help clients prosper, and to work in a supportive environment. We are presently moving services back into office and will be working 3 days in office (at the MHWC in Burien) and 2 days remotely (whether it be work from home or visiting clients in their home). The designation of in office vs. remote is subject to change based on performance and client need. Position Functions & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Provide case management services to adults, age 60 and over, living in King County;
Develop individualized treatment plans;
Secure needed resources;
Educate clients about mental illness;
Coordinate with family members and other professionals;
Re-teach independent living skills;
Conduct diagnostic interviews;
Assure ongoing medical treatment;
Monitor for decompensation;
Provide crisis services; and Coordinate with other service providers;
The above services are primarily provided in office and via telehealth, with some ability and expectation that approximately 2-4 days a month services will be delivered in the community (in the client's home or in an assisted living facility);
Providing counseling services to clients;
Providing therapy to clients (MA only);
Opportunity to provide group therapy (MA only);Position RequirementsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities, Education and/or Experience:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree OR Master's Degree (MA / MC / MS / MSW) in human services; two plus years' experience is an asset.
Demonstrated knowledge of older adults, mental illness, managed care system, and community resources.
Ability to provide intakes and make diagnoses per the DSM V (Master's level only)
Strong organizational and communication skills.
A Washington State counselor registration or license. (Washington State agency affiliated counselor registration required prior to beginning direct care responsibilities.)
A valid WA State driver's license and the ability to use one's own car are also required. #LI-JG1
