The 10 Tower unit or "Med/Surg" unit at Deaconess is a 30 bed unit where the patient population consists of about 80% surgical and 20% medical cases. We care for a wide variety of surgical patients ranging from GI, Urology and Oncology as well as the more specialized Gender Reassignments and Bariatric Weight Loss procedures. RNs here have the opportunity to learn more from these clinically complex cases that require critical thinking, organization, and attention to detail.
