Unit 400 Acute Medical Unit has 10 beds which are staffed 24 hours a day 7 days per week to provide care to Veterans experiencing acute medical conditions. The populations served include Veterans with medical and psychiatric diagnoses. Patients range in age from 18 years to elderly. The average length of stay is three to five days. The Acute Medical Unit nursing staff supports other areas within the medical center as needed. This Announcement has been extended to 10/28/2022. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
