Leadership Skills

• Maintain supervisory status: LPC-S, LMFT-S or other
• Responsible for creating and maintaining a collaborative, effective training atmosphere for Master’s and licensure level interns

• Lead and mediate all weekly collaborative team meetings
• Responsible for keeping the meetings productive but lively – engaging – creating a collaborative atmosphere of goodwill and respect
• Read and sign off on all intern case reports
• Follow up on intern cases in which client is not stable or is in crisis
• Hire and manage intern trainer
• Every other week – meet with LPC intern supervisees
• Once each week – meet with assigned Master’s level interns
• Lead weekly Master’s level intern “Master Class”
• 24/7 availability as supervisor to staff PRN

• Strong leadership and communication skills, including oral presentations and business writing
• Ability to act quickly and pragmatically under pressure to prioritize and resolve challenges and problems within staff, with client cases, Board complaints and other
• Willingness to take initiative, originate action and be responsible for consequent decisions
• To work within a team and lead teams

Professional Relationships and Staff Development

• Presents/attends in-service training seminars, workshops, programs, or activities to enhance skills or increase knowledge base
• Demonstrates willingness to read recommended materials and to conduct relevant library research to inform the practice of clinical mental health counseling, including latest trends and/or changes in the industry
• Effective and approachable with professional staff and all other business relations
• Ability to be diplomatic with professional staff and all other business relations
• Understands, and appreciates professional, ethical and legal issues and behavior while maintaining high ethical standards consistent with ACA Code of Ethics, TCA Guidelines and LPC rules and regulations, HIPAA rules and regulations
• Participates in professional counseling organizations. Applies knowledge of most current public mental health policies, financing, and regulatory processes to improve service delivery options

• Master's (Required)
• LPC-S or LMFT-S
• Clinical counseling: 5 years (Preferred)
