The Chief Health Informatics Officer (CHIO) is a Registered Nurse (RN) who provides leadership in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and evaluating the effectiveness of health care informatics and electronic health record management (EHRM) at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System. The CHIO RN has substantial and continuous responsibility and accountability for an integrated program that crosses services and/or discipline lines and influences the organizational mission.
