You Will Be Responsible For:
All patients are triaged, assessed, and monitored according to policy.
Patient/family is assessed for educational needs relevant to self-care and age specific needs.
Discharge Planning needs are addressed at the time of admission and throughout the ED stay as measured by the completion of the Depart Process.
Patient/family is involved in the planning of care as evidenced by documentation and Press Ganey comments.
Works collaboratively with case managers assuring timely patient outcomes.
Directs and coordinates patient care in a safe and skillful manner utilizing the treatment plan of care as evidenced by documentation in the EMR. (reviewed through chart checks)
Abnormal parameters in assessment data for the adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient are recognized and interpreted, and appropriate action is initiated.
Cerner orders are implemented STAT by verifying physician orders.
Plan of care is coordinated with peers and other disciplines, as well as seeking out appropriate resources for implementing the plan of care as demonstrated through observation and peer review.
Adheres to policies and procedures, keeping current with updates and revisions. Changes in policies and procedures are initiated through the proper channels.
What You Will Need:
Associates Degree in Nursing
Valid Florida RN License
Current Basic Life Support
Current Advanced Life Support
At least one year of RN Experience: PCU, Medsurg/Tele, ED, or Critical Care.
Directs/manages and provides care for a set number of patients utilizing the nursing process, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Health care needs are identified with the patient and family: formulates plan, sets goals for care, and educates patient and family. Evaluates patient outcomes in response to the plan and revises as patient needs/responses requires. Provides leadership and direction when working with a group of care-givers. Represents the Department of Patient Care Services in a professional and courteous manner.
