The Department of Case Management has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Case Manager and Manager to work in UTower. Case Manager will incorporate the fundamental principles of utilization management, triage level or care and monitor resource consumption. To perform the coordination and general administration of the pre-admission review and the admission review utilizing InterQual® criteria. Screen all admissions to assure compliance with appropriate level of care based on patient’s documented medical necessity and treatment plan. The Manager, Case Management provides ongoing support and expertise through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and overall evaluation of individual patient needs.
Minimum Requirements for Case Manager:
A BSN graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid State of Florida RN license.
A minimum of one year in Hospital Case Management/nursing; a good working knowledge of patient assessment, medical terminology.
Must have current BLS certification.
Minimum Requirements for Manager:
A BSN graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid State of Florida RN and valid current BLS certification.
A Minimum of five years in Hospital Case/Care Management/nursing and 1 (one) year of management.
A good working knowledge of patient assessment, medical terminology, computer knowledge and the ability to adapt/facilitate change. JCAHO Standards, Quality Improvement Process, and Risk Management knowledge. Infection Control Surveillance and Standard Precautions knowledge of basis regulations in the healthcare setting. Active participant in continuing education and professional groups in order to remain current in practice and changes in regulations as it relates to CMS, State, Federal and Local governing bodies.
