The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Recovery Center (PRRC-CORE) is an outpatient service within the Mental Health Service, designed to support recovery and integration into meaningful self-determined community roles for Veterans challenged with serious mental illness and severe functional impairment. The incumbent in this position requires advanced knowledge and understanding of the services and benefits available for Veterans from both federal, state and private sector resources. Duties include, but not limited to: Provides direct clinical care for Veterans with a serious mental illness (SMI). This includes evidence-based therapeutic groups, recovery-based individual psychotherapy and case management, and intake assessments and treatment planning. Provides day-to-day oversight of PRRC operations, including receiving and managing new referrals/consults to PRRC, assigning new referrals to PRRC staff, coordinating schedules and coverage as needed when staff is on planned or unplanned leave, providing clinical and programmatic consulting to team members as requested and as needed to ensure that programmatic expectations and those of the Mental Health Service are met. Convenes two PRRC staff meetings per month to promote effective functioning, communication, and education within the larger program. Coordinates in-house trainings as needed and in line with various goals related to PRRC. The incumbent will advocate for other training needed by PRRC staff. Provides reports as needed to the MH Supervisor, including monthly reporting on 1:1 caseloads for PRRC clinicians, program census, new referrals/graduations/discharges and other pertinent data as requested. The incumbent will provide coordination and oversight regarding NEPEC reporting by the PRRC team. Ensures that the services provided in the PRRC meet program standards and the needs of the populations served.
