JOB SUMMARY
The Director, IS Business Partner is responsible for the business systems strategy, roadmap planning, product management, financial planning, and project delivery for one or more technology programs (i.e. application development, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, etc.) utilized by Conifer�s operational business units.
This role will partner with VP-, Senior Director- and Director-level leaders to establish a business systems strategy, conduct roadmap planning to align technology investments with business unit goals, foster achievement of business unit goals for efficiency/productivity/compliance, and ensure that a multi-year plan exists for executive level IS decision-making and planning.
The role will oversee product management for vendor- and in-house-developed technical solutions and align priorities and business cases to the evolution of those products. This will require consistent alignment with business unit and department leadership and the solution management teams to understand evolving initiatives and goals.
The role will conduct financial planning and budgeting for their projects, ensuring adherence to cost estimates and overall financial commitments to Conifer. This role will also manage day-to-day delivery of project deliverables through both direct and leveraged teams, and raise issues requiring leadership attention appropriately.
This role is responsible for identifying and scoping technology solutions for both front-end and back-end revenue cycle management services. This role will also manage development, testing, implementation, and adoption of technical solutions. This role coordinates major deliverables with internal business units, Conifer IS, external vendors, and clients, when applicable, and ensures alignment between technical solution and business requirements for each system implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Operational sponsors and Solution Management teams to define technology solutions in support of business unit strategic plans Define and maintain multi-year technology roadmap to support alignment with business unit strategy and initiatives. Consolidate priorities and creates near-term and long-term product pipeline, manage product budget and forecasting, coordinate audit process where applicable Align with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and high-risk technology changes For all application teams associated with the business unit, manage direct employees, leveraged Conifer teams, and vendor partners to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Experience as a leader in Information Systems in a revenue cycle or healthcare setting Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts and methodologies including a deep understanding of technical capabilities for healthcare and revenue cycle systems Ability to interpret requests/requirements and effectively present data to support performance improvement activities Proven ability to lead a progressive technology team Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
Independent, logical thinker with proven ability to perform detailed data analysis and make sound decisions Advanced troubleshooting abilities, with ability to problem solve complex technical issues independently within a timely fashion Must demonstrate excellent professional communication skills through clearly written, concise and comprehensive documentation Effective influencing and negotiating skills Business Analyst and/or Technical Project Management skills/knowledge beneficial Ability to oversee the assessment and review of technology processes
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- 4 year college degree in Business/MIS or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience working with Revenue Cycle Systems
