RN Surgical Services Job Summary:
Responsible for the effective delivery and management of patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice. This includes assessment and reassessment, identification of problems and strengths, planning of interventions and the evaluation and documentation of outcomes of the nursing care provided.
Includes the involvement of the patient and/or significant other (s) and is in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient(s) as indicated.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. B.S. degree preferred
One year Medical/Surgical, Specialty or Critical Care area experience preferred
Currently licensed as RN in the State of MA
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
CV Certified Surgical Tech Job Summary:
You will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse circulator to facilitate safe and effective care
Functions in a professional manner on a wide variety of surgical procedures
Selects and prepares the appropriate supplies and equipment for the surgical cases
Scrubs on surgical cases, operates surgical equipment, participates in surgery by organizing the instrumentation, participating in surgical counts, and performs related activities under the direction of the Registered nurse circulator and surgeon
Graduate of an Accredited School of Surgical Technology
Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), BLS required
One year experience working as a certified surgical technologist preferred. Cardiac Surgery experience required
Sterile Processing Tech Job Summary:
Responsible to provide and facilitate sterile supplies and equipment to all clinical departments
Selects and prepares appropriate supplies and equipment for all surgical cases in case carts and emergency carts
Responsible for instrument identification, inspection, care and handling and cleaning
Responsible for assembly of procedural and surgical trays and sets
Responsible for cleaning and decontamination functions to include high level disinfection of instruments and medical devices; steam and Sterrad sterilization of instruments and medical device
Performs and records all quality control monitoring processes
Graduate of an Accredited School of sterile processing technician program
1-year SPD experience preferred or eligible Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology or IAHCSMM/CBSPDT certification
