We arerecruitingfor a full-time,board certified (or re-certified wtihin the last 10 years) RADIATION ONCOLOGIST to join our established, expanding Radiation Oncology department and bring the best in cancer care and treatment to our Veterans. This position is located on a hospital based practice. The successful candidate for this position must be highly skilled and experienced in the modern area of Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), Brachytherapy in all sites, background in patient care and teaching, track-record of productivity and proficiency in preclinical, clinical, and/or translational researches in the field of radiation oncology, and will participate in the expansion of these programs. Duties of this position include the following:
- Consulting and evaluating patients referred to Radiation Therapy
- Planning and managing the patient's daily radiation treatment
- Following up on patients who have completed radiation therapy
- Participating in Tumor Boards and other interdisciplinary conferences
- Developing and participating in the expansion of the IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, Brachytherapy and cancer research programs
- Participating in the Section's chart rounds and ongoing departmental activities

Basic Requirements :
- US Citizenship. Citizen of the United States. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- Education. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- Licensure. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- English Language Proficiency. Must be proficientin spoken and written English.

Physical Requirements: Physicians should be physically and mentally capable to perform the examinations, formulate the diagnosis and treatment plan, and educate residents. Physical activity includes sitting, standing (up to 2 hours), walking (up to 2 hours), heavy lifting (45 pounds or over), reaching above the shoulder, and repeating bending. They should be emotionally and mentally stable and capable of performing the duties of the position.
