The Service Line Director of Heart and Vascular reports to the Designated CEO and shares a collaborative partnership with the designated Medical Directors for the Cardiovascular Service Line to implement the vision and strategies of the Service Line across the market (Orange /Los Angeles County) as determined by Group and Strategy & Service Lines executive leadership. The Director provides operational support and non-clinical administrative direction to all activities and initiatives related to the service line in additional to strategy development. The directorâ��s goal is to ensure that the service line meets high quality performance in patient care, financial and operational goals and that it operates in a manner consistent with the Group and Hospital Service Center, as well as the respective mission, vision, and values of each of the service lineâ��s affiliate institutions.
The Director will have the following Scope:
1.Strategic Planning: Be responsible for ongoing development, implementation, and tracking of business planning initiatives for the service line.
2.Quality: Oversee the implementation and utilization of quality reporting of the service line and hold accountability for the clinical and operational competence for service line clinical staff and be answerable for quality and safety matters within the service line.
3.Operations: Assist in the day to day operations of key service line and operationalize facility plans within the service line.
4.Finance: Oversee financial feasibility of day to day service line operations, ensure plans are procuring financial goals to plan and develop financial proformas and business cases for the implementation of new services and service line initiatives
Bachelor's degree required.
Master's level education highly preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of operations or strategy experience relevant to the service line.
Ideal candidate possesses hospital and/or multi-hospital-system level service line planning (preferably cardiovascular) experience and strong grasp of administrative and clinical work flow in care settings including inpatient, emergency department and outpatient.
