LiveOnNY is looking for the right individual to provide direction and guidance to our passionate team of coordinators as we save lives, provide comfort, and strengthen legacies through organ, eye and tissue donation.
Providing administrative oversight, development, implementation, evaluation and refinement of the Family Services department.
Overseeing the development of an ongoing family support and consent training program.
Fostering an organizational culture that is based on collaboration, support, and constructive feedback.
Providing input into policy development, performance management and other organizational decisions.
Ensuring effective and efficient allocation of staff.
Providing real-time guidance and support to staff related to donor family support and consent issues.
Ensuring dependable, timely, supportive, educational, and informative communication between LiveOnNY and our donor families. Overseeing donor family peer bereavement support groups.
Developing program content and assuring implementation of Social media communication tools, annual Donor Remembrance ceremonies and Donor family engagement.
Supporting and fostering the mission of the organization and its commitment to tissue and organ donation.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Masters in Social Work required. Minimum 5-7 years working with grieving families required. Experience with donor families or organ donation preferred. LCSW preferred.
Essential to the position will be a belief and understanding of the organ and tissue donation process.
