Seeking a full-time fully licensed Clinical Therapist to provide mental health in our residential treatment program for specified residents in the custody of the Department of Human Services (DHS).
Must be a fully licensed Mental Health Therapist, practicing within the scope of his/her license in accordance with Title 58, Utah Code Annotated (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist). • Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in a mental health care setting preferred. • Must have knowledge and experience in the identification and treatment of mental health, discharge planning, principles of social work, basic principles of individual and group behavior, and a working knowledge of psychotropic medications. • Must pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation screening (BCI) • Valid Driver’s License.
POSITION SUMMARY • The Clinical Therapist conducts individual, family, group therapy and psychosocial rehabilitation services and provides ethical and exemplary therapy services for in-patient residents. • The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing mental health care within the scope of their license. • The program director role includes, but is not limited to: • Initiating and setting goals for the program, maintaining program oversite, • Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity and with the collaboration of the executive team, apply changes when needed. • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES • Under general supervision of the Clinical Director and in a collaborative leadership role in the organization, the Clinical Therapist is responsible for ensuring the overall effectiveness of the clinical services of the program. • Work closely with the Clinical Director, ensuring that all required training is compliant and completed in a timely manner in accordance DHS/DJJS contract. • Leads and trains staff engaged in related therapeutic/Resident care activities as appropriate. • Ensures that all staff adheres to the program's Policies and Procedure. • Maintains Medicaid compliance regarding record keeping; such as intake assessment, treatment plans, treatment plan review, discharge summaries, court reports and therapy notes. • Maintains Medicaid compliance on all Medicaid billing. • Work closely with resident’s families and Case Managers to ensure the quality of resident treatment. • Work closely with the Clinical Director in the implementation of program goals and resident treatment. • With the direction of the Clinical Director, develop and implement clinical program policy as necessary. • Willingness to work to support the overall mission of the program. • Ability to work independently and as part of the team to ensure that the highest quality of service is administered. • Completes therapy notes, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, court reports and discharge summaries.
