Princeton HomeCare, a unit of Princeton HealthCare System, provides comprehensive in-home nursing and rehabilitation, hospice care and support services. We offer temporary care for those recovering from surgery or short-term conditions, as well as extended care for individuals with chronic conditions or illnesses. Each year, our highly skilled nurses, allied health professionals and homemakers make nearly 90,000 visits to patients and clients throughout the Greater Central New Jersey region.
Princeton HealthCare System is currently in search of a Full Time, Days, Nurse Manager for Princeton HomeCare Services.
Position Summary: A registered professional nurse responsible for the evaluation and management of a multi-disciplinary team in the following areas: Unit Budget, Resource Utilization, Patient satisfaction, Quality Improvement plan, Human Resource Management, and Risk Management. They are responsible for delegation, mentoring, implementation and outcome monitoring for all the areas stated above. They are responsible to assure standards are being met through direct supervision of staff in the field as well as clinical documentation review of the EMR. During regulatory reviews they may be responsible to escort the surveyor on site visits and are expected to perform in a professional and responsible manner. Collaborates with physicians, receives and processes verbal orders and informs case manager or team of new orders.
All PHCS employees are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
- Associates Degree
- Current NJ Registered Nurse License
- Two (2) to four (4) years of related experience; Home Care preferred
- Current Driver’s License and Auto Insurance
- Evidence of leadership qualities
- Knowledge of the homecare and Medicare requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service focus
- Must be competent to work independently and supervise a multidisciplinary team
- Basic computer skills to document/review records in the EMR
- Bachelor’s Degree
- National certification in Hospice, Infusion, Geriatrics, or Homecare
